Campaign Overview

Thanks for helping us discover and celebrate paramedics working and living in Nova Scotia. This year, you nominated 45 heroes across the province, sharing their stories and celebrating their hard work.

Three randomly selected published nominations received a $1000 thank-you grant for their organization that could take the form of a celebration gathering, an upgrade, a plaque or any other means to boost everyone’s spirits and remind them of how much they are appreciated for all they’ve done and continue to do for their communities.

Recipients

We’re happy to announce the 3 winning recipients of $1000 from Healthcare Heroes: Paramedic Edition:

• The EHS Extended Care Paramedics team, who serve continuing care facilities in the HRM
• Danika Nelson, who works for the emergency department in Truro
• Joe Gallant, a longtime paramedic and mentor for others
