NS Healthcare Hero: Marion Simpson

“I would like to nominate Marion Simpson who has been a paramedic for over 24 years within Cape Breton. She is very well known to her community.

Marion’s patients and her family are always her priority. On her days off, you can always finding her helping her community or her friends.

Marion is the type of person you would want to look after your family. She is so kind and compassionate. She’s very good at what she does and anyone that meets Marion would say the same thing, she is truly one of a kind. She works long hours and would come home and help me after my brain surgery she spent so much time just holding my hand and making sure I was ok. She looked after her father for months and never once complained.

She’s truly an earth angel and she’s my best friend , but she’s also a huge asset to our community. She is known for always being positive no matter how tough things get. Anyone that is blessed enough to know Marion knows you could call on her day or night and she would be there.

Not only is she an amazing paramedic. She’s an amazing mom who is fearless and has two amazing young ladies who are kind and compassionate… something their mom taught them all about.”
