NS Healthcare Hero: Sandee Crooks

“Sandee Crooks has been a paramedic for 20 years. She is an incredible human that I am lucky to know and to call my friend. She has given her heart and her soul to her coworkers on a regular basis to advocate to bring change. She strives for us to do better and be better.

Her selfless spirit that she unquestionably gives to each of us goes above and beyond. Every year she and her family fill the fridges with meals for the medics that are working on holidays. She is a strong leader and many of the paramedics look up to her. She has educated many and she inspires medics to become better. Some days are hard, others days she breezes through. Her outlet is her crafty creativity of making something from nothing to be a treasure. We treasure her.

She brings hope to those that suffer from mental health or whatever. She brings hope to those that need the strength that there will be another day. Her smile and kind personality will warm your heart. There really are not enough words that can explain how amazing her soul is. We all just love her so much and she is beyond deserving of nomination.”
